Big Brother
Big Sister
Bowl For Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters only major
fundraising event. Funding generated from BFKS supports
matches between children from single parent homes and
adult mentors. BFKS campaign raised $158,000.00 last year.
With that funding, the BBBS program grew nearly 20% and
almost 700 kids enjoyed the friendship of a Big Brother
or Big Sister. The 2004 BFKS fundraising goal was $167,000.00,
and the actual amount raised was $178,000.00. Apache contributed
$4,583.00 to this total.

Apache sponsored a team in the 12th
Annual Volleyball Challenge. The event include 55 teams
from local area businesses. Apache placed 3rd in the recreational
division. JA's purpose is to educate and inspire young
people to value business and economics to improve the
quality of their lives.

Area Substance Abuse Council
In 2004 Apache employees donated 45
Easter baskets filled with candy and toys for kids ranging
from 3 months to 15 years old.

Muscular
Dystrophy Association
On April 2nd, 2004 Jim Halverson and Kyle Gingrich were
locked up for MDA. Together they raised $1, 015. These
donations go towards helping MDA find a cure for this
disease.

American Cancer Society
In the spring of 2004 Apache donated $250 towards the
Linn County Relay for Life.
Cedar Rapids Science Station
Apache donated $500 to the Cedar Rapids Science Station.
